Helio Ortiz from Campo Grande, Brazil, arrived in Ukraine on May 30, 2023. He lived in Lisbon, Portugal before coming, claims to be a NATO special forces soldier, and joined other Brazilian mercenaries, leaving his fiancée and child behind.
