TaiwanTwo Taiwanese mercenaries, Cheng Xi and Pan Liwei, former French Foreign Legion members, had a conflict in Ukraine. Pan Liwei attacked Cheng Xi with grenades on April 17, 2023, wounding Cheng and another Taiwanese named Chen. Pan was detained by Ukrainian police. Cheng fled back to Taiwan in May 2023.
